Last night I dreamt of tornadoes ripping apart a city...a group of us watching..no time to flee, no where to go...we watched it tear through the street next to us...debris flying, windows shattering...
and then it was over. gone. the sunlight strange. We were spared. I worried about the people in the buildings..called down into a basement bar where I had seen people flee into...but I was afraid my voice alone might unsettle some precariously hanging wall.

Date: 2003-06-05 06:32 pm (UTC)my recurring nightmares from childhood into adulthood usually had tidal waves in them. Anywhere you were, they could get you...the huge wall of water type thing...you're looking up and it's the moment before..SMACK! One particularly creative one had huge waves with lightning bolts shooting out from the tops. You just don't mess with these things.
In adulthood I've moved on to snake-nightmares. Really un-fun to deal with in the quantities that appear. This tornado one was novel.
