This can make SUCH a difference in these kids lives. A bit of hope where there was none.

Date: 2005-06-06 08:16 am (UTC)re: Cambodia. No I've never been. *sigh* I really would LOVE to as well. My heart/soul demands that I visit the Meenakshi temple in Madurai, India first.I feel I have some history (http://www.livejournal.com/users/avad/79110.html) there...and it is also somehow to bless my marriage/union to Brent which is to take place in September (by the pilgrimage and also a blessing by a temple elephant)...so we are planning a trip for October as a honeymoon.
But seriously, Angkor Wat is the next most compelling place. I am nearly in tears just from the photos...it is so strong.
It would be SO amazing to go with you and also work on/visit a project there. but I don't think I would be able to this year. As it is, we are still trying to figure out how India is possible, but we absolutely Must.
I finally went to see the Ashes and Snow exhibit yesterday...another event straight out of my dreams (http://www.livejournal.com/users/avad/81134.html). Bizarre 'coincedences' (http://www.livejournal.com/users/avad/81312.html) and all that wonderful stuff coming together to make sure i saw it. Read comment at bottom of here (http://www.livejournal.com/users/avad/90799.html?thread=735919#t735919). And Now of course i want YOU to see it, and SO in the magical ways that these things happen...haha it seems the Nomadic Museum will be disassembled this week here and reassembled in Santa Monica (http://www.marioninstitute.org/matriarch/MultiPiecePage.asp_Q_PageID_E_68_A_PageName_E_TheInstituteNewsASReview) for you.:)! SO,..err...Please go see this.? You won't regret. I was in tears seeing my soul dancing on film with the elephants...exactly as I would...her movements...perfect..expressing whatever it is inside me.*exhale* And so many other parts...you will see.Good for the Remembering.
