ok. Taxes organized. One BIG accomplishment.whew.
Also did a resin pour today (finally)on my artwork in the garage...quite tricky to get it in all the right places within the map piece and NOT get it on the continents and islands. But I did the best I could and there are just minor touch-ups to make after it all sets. I'm worried that the colors of this piece will make it hard to sell...but it can't be helped- this is the piece that wanted to be born. I guess those who would buy my work are usually not going to be doing it based on their decor anyway... Strange piece..I keep staring at it, it makes me a little nervous...I think it needs to be titled 'Corpus'. After it sets completely (about 48hrs)and I do the touch-ups I will thread the connections with monofilament all around...and see how that looks.
Got a letter in the mail from my father with a story he wrote about his childhood. SO good. I love learning these things...he tells of walking with his mother in Puerto Rico...when he was about 5 yrs old...for her to drop off a pair of handmade gloves to a factory..(her work)..walking through streams and over scary half-bridges... My imagination was taken on such a wonderful trip.
If I had my way, my father would not have to work and he could concentrate on writing and art and geneaology to his heart's content.*sigh*

Date: 2003-04-03 10:55 pm (UTC)A bit like 'God' ? So when do I get to see this piece?
And how much would one cost including shipping??
Re:
Date: 2003-04-04 11:43 am (UTC)As per price...I make all sorts of sizes. Tiny 5 and a 1/2" square, 12" square, 24" square, 36" square and 60" square...so the prices vary immensely. Shipping to the UK? Yikes I have no idea...I could try to find out of course...but on what sort of size?E-mail me, chicken!;)
