*exhale*
SO. Today was officially my last day at work...as the shop is closing down for the season and reopening in May. Now, if my finances were in good standing it would be perfect timing because I'm impatient to really get focused on my artwork. But, my finances are not quite in good standing. :(
Couple that with the little news that our landlord's son is moving back to town with wife and they will be moving into our house. Yes, that means we've got until May to find another place to live.
*sigh*
Here we go again.
But with these worries I come back to the house just now and get the mail...and there is a check from an art sale that I didn't even know about!! 'Prayers (medium)'(pictured here) just sold from the East Hampton gallery!!

No it's not going to take care of all my debt and bills or anything but it's a nice chunk that I need! And of course I read this stuff as a sign....I know it's time to start another hammered nail prayer piece...I've been feeling it..needing to get back to the ritual...and there is just SO much to pray for these days....and now this just reinforces it.:)
Also I know that at least two baby pieces sold at ArtMiami this past weekend...and one baby piece from Margaret Thatcher's. And that was the update before both shows ended...so it's Possible that more sold..I'll have to wait and see.
It's going to be just fine.
I'm going to get this grant application in...., I'm going to get back to making the artwork...and this is going to be an amazing year.
I'm going to go donate the 10% from this check to Habitat for Humanity. SO much rebuilding needs to be done after the tsunami, it's unimaginable, but we can all help. Habitat for Humanity plans up to
25,000 homes for displaced tsunami victims

well, so many are..it's hard to choose really. But emergency camp living can go on for sooo long and it's terribly depressing. So here's to hoping the building gets underway quickly.
