Marimbula tones in the living room

Bunny and Ladybug are back from Mexico.:) Bunny brought over his newest musical toy/child, a Gorgeous instrument called a Marimbula. Like a huge thumbpiano, these low tones vibrate right in your chest! B was enchanted and could not stop playing it.:)



Earlier in the day I wired (for hanging)a group of paintings to bring to Arlene Bujese Gallery...part of an ongoing series called The Immense Journey...meditations on evolution and self-assembling matter and divine sparks of life. Three Billion Years, Heat, Salinity. That's them all propped on the couch. I realize now that I didn't take good pics of the new pieces individually for my portfolio,or for here,eek. I always forget. now I've got to get to the gallery again sometime soon.On the wall is

That "Marimbula" looks like a fine sounding instrument, indeed.

There's an instrument called the "Marimba" which is quite amazing as well. www.marimba.org (http://www.marimba.org/aboutMarimba.html.en)

interestingly my marimba friend never heard of the marimbula. i think it's one of those mutt instruments.
