The past days...

Sunday-We had a party at the house for Bunny's Birthday. I was overwhelmed by all the people and noise but had fun. Played and bonded with Kimmy's baby too which was lovely. The kid is Huge at 6 months. Biggest chewable thighs EVer. Goodnatured,Happy baby.:)
We smashed our faces into soft cool pillows and laughed.Love.

Monday- working at the shop.Daydreamin colors and fabrics and yarns...

Tuesday- blew by in nonproductive manic stress mode...but the Dinner party at a friend's house in the eve turned out to be really enjoyable. Good conversations with former almost strangers about abstract and conceptual art and time and life.

Wednesday- Productive, errands with B....then FINALLY
Working in the studio, listening to Cibo Matto....painting on a 2foot piece that is based on Candyland and internal organs....:)Priming a large tondo that will be a tabletop piece...adding glitter to '@ the Lake'.
Feeling good, seeing progress, not wanting to stop.

ThursDay- working at the knit shop...painfully slow day...because I so wanted to be back in the studio.
I'm so excited about Scope Miami...nervous as heck,and totally behind on everything... but really excited.

Researched charitable projects...and decided to donate
10% of latest paycheck to Osu Children's Library Fund through World Library Partnership (worldlibraries.org. It's refreshing to finally see a gorgeous full-sized structure proposed, instead of the normal makeshift libraries that are still so underfunded. I hope they can pull it off. As usual, donate if you can.

Someone contacted me out of the blue about buying one of my baby artworks, so that's wonderful and helpful! He works for a publishing Company so offered to throw in a book or two into the deal. Sweet. Out of the catalog I'm thinking of Rainer Maria Rilke's Poems from the Book of Hours...and/or some Chinese Poetry (by Tu Fu)..None of my wishlist books are on there unfortunately...but I think I'll be happy with some new poetry instead.
TOnight Pony came over and we ate Mexican food and yapped. Then she films me and B talking bout how we met.Wonder where that'll end up.;)
Now I'm on coffee but should be sleeping so I can cram as much art-time as possible into my day tomorrow.

oddly enough I recieved my lego magazine yesterday and there was a coupon for 10%off for 15.00 or more purchase at the new stores and Lake Grove, NY was one of them. Though I can't seem to find any info on it.

I've seen that portrait maker before...I just think your 'toilet works' and deadpan expression and thumbs up is hysterical.

Plain honey bunches of oats for now. Though I do like the peach and/or strawberry stuff every once in a while for kicks. Dehydrated fruit IS strange. It soaks up the saliva on your tongue. Needs to sit in the milk a bit. Now I'm hungry.

I'll check into the mall thing.It's a doable distance.

How did you and B meet?

Oh boy..it's a loooong story. But the condensed version is we met back in college but didn't reeeally know eachother... years later he tracked me down by calling my mom and getting my phone #,and we became pen-pals for 2 yrs while going on with our lives in separate states and the ups and downs of other relationships.

Old-fashioned kind of pen-pals(I didn't even have a computer or email.): 3 page handwritten letters, crayola drawings and such. Seasonal surprises like odd autumn tree seeds and miniscule easter baskets.It was wonderful but just friends.
SO then the 'last' of my love affairs ended Horribly and I was in THE PIT OF DESPAIR even though I was having a solo show at a gallery. B secretly drove out to view the show (without telling me)and the gallery owner later told me that 'some guy' had been in the gallery for two hours(!) looking at each and every piece so intently that she became very curious and interrogated him. He left a little note for me...and the thought that he would do that...well..that someone really cared about all that was mushing around in my head that much...was like a little bucket lowered into my PIT OF DESPAIR...
I had no choice but rescind my new vow to never talk to men again...and I called him, insisted he visit me now and again....and over time I knew it was right and I kidnapped him and made him move in with me.:)He doesn't seem to mind.;)
