avadListening to Billie Holiday...cookin up some jambalaya, stirrin the (turkey) sausage and onions....drinkin some wine....mmmhmmmm....twirly-twirl....
I'll try to update a bit in between stirrins....*runs off*

sippy sip. ok...where to begin? Last Fri...rented a cargo van and got my big 5 foot artwork to the gallery (B helped me lift it and I drove and let him nap since i kept him up til 2 am the night before helping with the frame). Dropped off another small piece to a nearby museum for the juried members show.
Later my adrenaline pittered out and I took a nap myself. B's sister MS.A comin out for the weekend- yay- picked up at the station. And we're off to see my singer-songwriter friend Pony perform at an event she put together 2 towns over. Folding the printed programs in the car while B drove, all done by the time we got there. Quick slices of pizza...walking with A is funny, people stopping and staring, whistlin, etc. Yup, she's all that.;)
Pony's performance was absolutely stunning- it all came together in such a powerful way. She had a cellist, a drummer and 3 guys (one of em being my very own B) dressed as 'evil monks' in black choir robes and masks chanting in specific parts of the 3 songs. With the dim and perfectly moody lighting it was a sight to behold- and then her songs...*sigh* wish we had videotaped it. It just reinforced that this girl is going places. She has the vision and talent. And now (recent development) she has the break she needed. SO. watch out world.

Next day lounging about coffee and chat and Bunny comes over and mixes music with B while we all hang in the 'office'.New samples I love...can't wait for him to make a cd. It's his way of journaling really...taking all these sound samples of his daily life and the people in it.:) Then to my reception at the gallery (group show so lots of people and familiar faces) and then over to another nearby gallery for another opening (Bunny had a piece in that one) and then to a bar/restaurant where Bunny had a gig with his Jazzy trio. Met up with some other artists from out here...
*ok it's almost burning now- gotta run!*
