I'm having more weird dream/realities. About two weeks ago I dreamt I went by the
house that I grew up in, met my old neighbor, who then turned into my mom
and we decided to go inside the old house because she had the key. We were
looking around inside and then the new owner came home, a nice Spanish
woman. In real life that week I need to get special art materials and decide to go drive by the house on my way
west (it's in the middle of LI) and lo and behold, my old neighbor's garage door is open so
with some feeling of weirdness, I go to see if she is there. She is not, but
her son is (all grown up) and I talk to him awhile...then I'm about to get
back in my car and a woman comes out of MY old house...and so I can't help
it, I run over and ask "Do you live there?" and she says yes...and I tell
her I grew up there from the age of 3 til oh about 21 (10 yrs ago). And she absolutely
insists that I come inside and look around!!!So there I am inside the house of my childhood...telling her which room was mine and which my sister's... and yes, she was a very nice
Spanish woman. weeeeirdness.
Then two days ago I dream that my next door neighbor here stops by
unannounced and then turns into my landlord and is asking to look around and
check the bathroom (we've had a minor leak for months and months) and I am
upset because it's all a mess and I'm totally unprepared. So what happens yesterday? You guessed it. 8:30 AM the landlord and a plumber are at
my door completely unannounced and I'm in pajamas and the house is a mess and they (very politely)
ask if it's at all possible to check the bathroom for an estimate.
So I guess I had had a warning...but I didn't heed it. SO my bad. ergh. But
how weird is that.
Life is strange, kids, I tell you. I don't get it.

If you did understand life, would it be as much fun? I don't think so.

Do you keep a dream journal? I've never tried but hear it can be helpful in all sorts of ways.

Hee., I don't know. I still want to understand everything.;)
Yeah, I write down as much as I can recall of my dreams in the mornings in my regular bookjournal. These were written down.

When I first wake up, I can barely see and walk to the bathroom...writing seems out of the question. How do you deal with that? Is it just a "practice makes perfect" kind of thing? Or is there some trick to it?

Ha, you should see some of the 'writing'.;)
But usually I meander over to the couch and I've already got coffee brewing before I start writing. Yes, that means sometimes the dreams have already faded into an incoherent mess.

I haven't had precognitive dreams since I was a child. Seems to me to be a sign that you're open to messages the universe sends to you.

I've had some doozies over the years. These recent ones are so quick though and that's different. I dream it and the very next day it happens. What were your childhood ones like?

I would dream of places - and then then next time I went out of town, with my family or on a school field trip, I'd recognize the place because I'd dreamed about it.

Makes one wonder...are we living a memory..or creating worlds..or somehow privy to all experience yet usually only tap into a specific 'self-bandwidth'...?

I've often wondered about that. I really don't know what I think is most likely. Most often I lean toward thinking that all time exists - but the we only conciously experience one moment at a time. Just like the whole globe exists, but we only exist in one part of it at a time. On the globe, via various means of communication lets us be aware of places far from us on the globe. Perhaps, in a similar way, we can be aware of other moments in time even while we're not in them. Memory lets us do that with the past, perhaps something can let us do that with the future.

ah, i see the dream-beam is working! i was beginning to wonder - all that expense in sending up that satellite, all the programming, the experimental holographic message encoding... i was beginning to wonder if i had your address wrong and was sending signals to some poor old guy living a few blocks over...

when you wake, how can you be sure you're not still dreaming?
