teasers:

@Art Palace room in the Aqua Hotel fair, Miami 2007.
they are infinitely disturbing and I want them. talk about mixed feelings. taxidermied squirrels? in crocheted ninja suits?? help! !! I don't know WhAt I feel! I guess it's not surprising since I still feel that way about Annette Messager's famous piece with the dead baby birds in ponchos.
I particularly love this lil rascal.you don't suppose i could get a live squirrel to wear this for me do you? possibly?

then at David Castillo Gallery in the Wynwood District during ArtWalk:
ok so who is planting these traps for my neurotic obsessive side? art made completly of stickers....in various category areas...like pandas or houses or puppies....this closeup is of a cake section...which as you know...could be my undoing.
Takako Kimura

here's what the full pieces look like. then up close it's just hundreds and hundreds of leeetle stickers. (!!) this is when the brain turns off and you're just in childish bliss.
shiny candy glitter yummyyyy

Date: 2007-12-17 09:46 pm (UTC)I asked the gallery owner how they died....and he said that the artist just buys them already taxidermied on ebay from all different places/sellers.(!!??!!)so my guess is that most are from hunters and some died naturally and were taxidermied.it's reallllly disturbing.
