Wired Sudan
"This campaign is intended to help purchase a laptop computer and cellphone for our 7 friends heading from Nairobi to the Sudan. They will spend a week at the NCDA center in Nairobi receiving training, and then will commence a 6-week internship training teachers in the village of Kiechkuon in southern Sudan. Many of these teachers have been working for 3 years without pay. They have no books, and very few supplies. They need help developing curriculum, and managing classrooms where there are often 50-100 students in each room. When our friends are done assisting, they will leave the laptop computers in the NCDA center to assist with future internships and teaching.
Are you able to help us reach our goal? We have very little time. If you know anyone else who may be able to help, please send them a link to this campaign.

Date: 2005-08-30 07:42 am (UTC)Until I can have "my" house surrounded only by trees and birds, and I don't have to spend all day reading and writing emails, the only time I can be creative and concentrate is at night. Now, after some technical working on my computer, I prepare to write some fiction for a short story contest.
