Apr. 21st, 2003 01:13 amwow. what a busy wonderful weekend. the kind where too much happens to write about yet I'm smiling tired and it's ok.:)
We had a big birthday party for my good girlfriend at our house, some fun silliness:pink balloons, powerpuffs girls plates and tablecloth, made her wear a 'birthday princess' tiara. She's an excellent singer-songwriter and it was an all-night jam with all friends on guitars, congas, muted trumpet, bass, etc. LOTS of food, I indulged in champagne and just two glasses got me all smiley and loose. Everyone asking about the art, wanting studio tours, etc.and I felt so happy and relaxed and open. Yapping about all inspirations, process, etc and actually seeing things register and move people! So many times I feel verbally inept, and there is so much I want to share about the art, but this night seemed magical- I was somehow actually communicating the ideas it seemed!.That alone was SUCH a high. Friends I miss from the city came out, crashed over. Next day we went to M's gig at the cafe and nursed our hangovers with healthy food. Then back to the house again with a few more folks, answering questions about the art again, then talking way into the night, deleriously sleep-deprived and laughing over nothing and everything until dozing became couch-sleeping again.peace and goodnight all. It's good to be alive.
