Worked more in the studio today...still painting in the details of the 'water' bottom. I'm so impatient to see the resin over it...but it's got a ways to go. Made a stir-fry for dinner and we watched 'Chelsea Walls' while chompin. Some pretty good acting, I'll have to say. Believable. And the old blues/jazz singer- ga- aMAzing.
Late-night I'm trying to rework by artist's statement- ugh- I'm never satisfied. Anyhoo,this is currently my favorite piece, called From Above. Can't wait to make larger ones...with the monofilament connecting the islands all over...

This is beautiful; the colours are so subtle and the additions look like glowing glass beads or water droplets.

thank you!:) those are actually nailheads painted with iridescent enamels (nailpolish!) and made into domes with clear resin. yes I love how they look like exactly what you said.:)

I hear ya. Do I hear ya. Shouldn't I be asleep? *blinks uncomprehendingly* I just found a community called Artists Studio. Thankfully. Now I don't have to start one called 'In the Studio' as I was thinking of but couldn't imagine the time.much love, I am really going to try to unplug myself now. I'm never going to be able to wake tomorrow! bad girl.
