What's down Here I wonder....;)
Tinkered a bit an finally got B's old BMW 2002 working. That thing's been taking up sapce in MY garage studio (ok, MAYBE it's our garage) and it's driven me nuts. The turbo engine he lugged ridiculously from up-island with the help of our friend Jeffy was SOOOO incredibly rusty that it looked like seawreckage and took me unMentionable hours to sand down. I kept putting it off and only working on it here and there secretly because I was worried that even after all that, it'd be a dud. And he'd cry, really.
But it works!!
Anyway, won't he be surprised when he comes home.:)
I'm off to Real work now though. Burned another small hole in my uniform yesterday which I've covered with a funny hello kitty patch. I hope I get to use the arc-welder today...that stupid oxy-acetylene torch is possessed I tell you and I'm just not feeling safe with it. Anyway, there's something so soothing about making continual 'row-of-dime' welds. I get to a 'state', you know? And I feel good about the work.
Maybe dancing later tonight if I've got the energy. AmAzing spot we located not so far away. And it's finally warm enough to wear 'the outfit'. ha. watch out.

hee. this entry was written as a spoof for Rabbit Hole Day (http://www.livejournal.com/users/avad/80003.html). Sort of an April Fools-ish thing in honor of Lewis Carroll's birthday.I confessed finally in my next entry. You might notice a bunch of other people's journals turned a bit wacky on the 27th too...
I didn't really fix B's car, and I don't't really have a job welding, etc. But I used half-truths..since I do know how to weld -used to use it for making metal sculpture...haven't done it in many years though).
Arc-welding IS pretty neat. I took to it much better than the oxy-acetylene cutting torch, which I think I was kindof sloppy at and never quite got the hang of. Fun times though, some friends an I used to hop the dumpster at a nearby industrial metal place and get all sorts of pre-cut shapes and I-beams and goodies, throw them in a truck and then go back and weld and make art.
