Heya. I saw your post on [livejournal.com profile] creative_spaces and am intrigued by your work. As someone who played with teeny tiny farmsets as a child, I am completely enthralled. I keep thinking, "How big? How did she make these? What materials is she using? I WANT one!" :) Are they for sale? Are they meant to hang veritcally or horizontally? Please put me out of my misery. Tell! Tell! :)

hee. so lovely to receive a message like this, thankyou.
these particular ones are 12" square but I do work in all sizes...from 5 1/2" up to 5ft square. they can be hung on the wall (most commonly) but tabletop horizontal is also fun, it's up to you. I have larger 42" tondo pieces that are more often displayed horizontally. size of a nice round table.

As for materials, I use all sorts of things...the pieces in that photo are still in progress...but are wood, acrylic, sand, flocking, model railroad parts, glitter, nails, and will have layers of clear casting resin..

you can probably get a better idea on angle on a small piece like this:

Eye LOVE Your Work, Darlene!!!!!!! And these pictures of work in progress, with ALL the paint, markers and black pepper about, are very artistic in themselves! How much do you sell the smaller ones for? And how would Eye choose when Eye LOVE them ALL soooooo much!?!?!?!

Positively,
JS : )
