working on another weave of hammered nails in the basement...similar to this one I did a while ago...This one is called Density. I'm just learning how to post the images here so I'll probably post more pics from now on.
hello! These pieces are made by hammering thousands of aluminum nails in and over a thick plywood. I had been interested in creating tactile text and code...and created many pieces with a raised nail-formed text...and then over the years the process itself became a personal ritual (very meditative)and the pieces became more abstracted and condensed.
