Channeling Funds;) (x-posted to the
10percentclub)
As 10%ers we become very aware over time that "We are just vehicles through which something that is needed is passing." (Rabbi David A. Cooper)
At the time I wanted to help most those suffering from the tragedy of Katrina...and felt the tightest financial constraints in doing so, I was suddenly contacted by an art director again (yes the one who rented pieces for 'Heights') who tells me she now wants to rent artworks ASAP to use in in filming for an upcoming TV series called The Bedford Diaries. (:)?!)
SO I rushed images to her and they chose 3 of my largest pieces for the shoot, came and picked them up and I somehow within a few days had a nice-sized check in my hand! So, One, rent was taken care of...and then with the 10% donation from that I was able to donate to the Red Cross (through Google to Amazon.com to Red Cross in order to add to the registered flow counter of that networking method). Doubled that donation by alerting the Quilters Comfort America's Matching Fund Campaign, and then also donated to my friend Kenny's project for the hurricane refugees in his hometown area of St.Landry Parish, Louisiana. (See previous post)
These are some of the things that I mentioned start happening....Brent calls it Bucky magic when my rent money appears like that...my view has something to do with energy currants and helping things go as they want to go...being willing to be a vehicle and making the promise that you will not horde wealth but rather use it to help where it is so needed;)Both ways it's good welcome 'magic'.

Re: 10%
welcome to the club.:)
can you post this on the 10%community page too now- and any more info on your charities of choice with links would be great. I had never heard of Senior Orphans- sounds really good.
Yeah, it's a bit hard waiting for art sales...which are sporadic. I work part-time in some shops so I can get a more regular paycheck for periods of time...and it feels so good to be able to donate more regularly..
