Look I'm famoose

There is a profile/article in the newspaper out here on me this week so all the guys in 7-11 are teasing me.;).
eep!.
It's online too so I'll link to it easthamptonstar.com/feature
The real article (in the paper) included two black and white pics of my artwork also, one of 'Mending (detail)' and one of 'Kayla's Community' so that was nice. I kindof hate the pic of me there...I was feeling awkward/self-conscious/stiff. But anyhoo the article is pretty good overall so I'm happy. You never know how a writer will present stuff from an interview...and our talk was really, really casual when he came over so I had no idea what he would put in.

Too bad he didn't get the meaning of Puja right. That's very important to me...but I should have explained fully I guess.
Maybe I'll send him this link that puts it quite well. Just for future reference I suppose since it's too late for the article.
But anyway...nice to be sortof famous. hahagulp

Anytime a publication or anyone for that matter decides you and your work are worthy of publishing, that people would be interested in reading about you and see your work... that's nice. Giving interviews is so rough! You never know wHaT is going to be taken out of context. It's a well written article. If I hadn't been exposed to your work before, the article would make me want to. Congrats!!!!!!!

I know, I was terrified before the article came out.
The interviewer had been pushing some questions that were just really uninteresting to me and I was thinking oh great, that's what the article is going to focus on...not the concepts behind my work which I really wanted to but didn't get to elaborate on as much as I wanted...
but it balanced out a bit and I was so relieved on reading the article. :)
