Still Goin

Whew.
I've been working on my art all day and night...did another resin pour this morning...then painting....and the last few hours were spent doing careful paint marker work...really slow going.
But I AM really happy with how they're turning out. It's so refreshing to finally see what's been swimming around in your mind slowly come into visible/tangible form...
I think I'm really starting to love them.
Sure, I'm a bit nervous how they'll be received, because yet again, I'm going further into quirky realms...and it seems everyone gets all confused when my work changes from whatever they've seen last. But I can't help that. This is where I am now. I move forward, I meander. These are the things I'm thinking about, inspired by, processing....and as an artist I need to express that. The pieces are deeply satisfying to me.I really feel I'm hitting it on the head. Whether or not others 'get it' right now can't enter into my process.
SO, with that said to myself and my livejournal, I think it may be time for bed.

I'm going to have to save that post in my e-mail and refer to it when I get down. That's exactly my plan but to have someone else say it and validate its possibility in reality is a sigh of relief. People here think I'm a little loopy because I'm always listing off 10 projects and try to explain that's why I don't leave the house for long. My mother thinks I should make more "traditional" things but that's what the yarn, soap etc are for. People who will pay small ammts for artsy household goods I can make easily can support the greater picture. Thanks for getting it. It really helps. Especailly because my pot holders turned out like crap and I have to ditch them. ACK! :)

ok, I'm just rambling off a brainstorm here before bed..but thinking of less expensive items..what about cute funky accessories...lil wristwarmers or pins(knit hearts/flowers/animals) or small knit/crochet gift-size critters/TEDDYBEARS? your koolaid colors would make anything fun and different.
