Digital Earth

The concept of a digital earth is one of the most inspiring to me.
As Buckminster Fuller says,
"For humans uneducated in advanced mathematics, to ascertain what is going on in science and technology, they must have personally feelable conceptual explanations. There must be direct correspondence of the visual information with remembered experiences of the senses."
I feel that one of the main demands/needs of our collective human organism at this time is work in Visual and Interactive Information. For any of you looking for something to do- GO!Hurry! Tweak the evolving systems, build better ones!
Mappings of both the real and virtual. Comprehensive and evolving browsers, improved organizational structures of information.
Mainstreaming computer simulations which give us desperately needed educational feedback as to the potential consequences of our individual behaviors on a group/global level.

I think my favorite Bjork album is Homogenic (which I'm listening right now). Bjork is coming here in Montreal next week for the second time. I will not see her, but she is obviously very present in the atmosphere around. :-)
