Studio ramble
I've been Working on new pieces in the studio...
in quiet space isolation
swirling thoughts trying to organize into something...coalesce..
sketchbook but need to see in layers white
other: plant growth nourish spots
continents bridging like fingers
houses/barns in dreamspace, little communities and clusters
possibilities narrowing
with each mark
decision to make this small page of the story this time
promises to self that the others will be made as well
right now I would be happy to have 10 pieces going at once (I have 5) because they are deposits and I have so much more to give, too much swirling inside
stirring the pot
of symbols, taste, add or subtract.
Would be happy to read, write, and paint for a month. need so much quiet sorting, seeing, thinking
it's hot....I eat cherries and watermelon, share with birds and insects out back.
short bike ride midday to get air, Move. My body has been too still too long. shower.
now night. coffee and moody music: emilie simon and bjork...drawing small shapes at the kitchen table...swimmy things...at the bottom of the layers to be.
