WE'VE MOVED...Better World Island now adjoins Sue Braiden's beautiful new african themed SIM, Ubuntu. This is like a family reunion and we are thrilled to be there :) So many of our projects and goals are entertwined and this brings it all together for our audience. No worries your landmarks will still bring you to Better World.

Better World goes GREEN
Better World is the first island in Second Life to join "The Green Islands Project" The project purchases wholesale Green-E renewable energy credits from real world wind turbines and solar modules, and provides them to islands seeking to replace fossil fuel use with sustainable, renewable energy. One Megawatt of renewable energy credits (a green tag) will provide more than enough clean environmentally responsible energy to power a typical sim or server for a full year. The green tags or renewable energy credits, are retailed at $US 50.00. The project buys them from the Bonneville Environmental Foundation of Portland Oregon.
As a result of our participation in the project, Better World will be deploying accurate functioning simulations of 20 metre wind turbines and solar electric systems. WOOT :)
