Day in the Studio

Because of THIS MOST GLORIOUS PICTURE of LONDON at NIGHT , I set my homepage to the 'Astronomy Picture of the Day' page of NASA. Yummy stuff. Today's pic ain't so bad neither: check out the Supernova Shockwave
Spent a good part of the day on art...it's getting clearer in my mind. Doing underpaintings on the baby pieces, hammering more on the weave.I want an alphabet of paintings..a sequence made of realms...a code that runs across the wall in starts and stops and clusters..each bit a realm..
and I'm singing along to Bjork...:)
IN progress...

I absolutely LOVE that site!:):) Had seen it already- I OBSESS over these types of images. My most coveted book of last year (finally got it for my birthday, YAY) is called Planet Earth and has many of those same images in a delicious format. SUCH an inspiration. Also love 'Earth From Above', a large format book of such. and my most coveted book of This year is called Heaven & Earth, contains images from the microscopic (scanning electron microscopic images!!) to satellite imagery to gorgeous Hubble shots of space. *SWOOOOOON*
