Florida Fam-dango
Back from holiday florida trip to visit the fam. Unlike Miami, this trip was cold...i wore boots and sweaters the whole time (minor waah). But time with my niece and nephew was priceless...little angel-demons that they are. Some pics:
We went to some crazy ICE show inside a hotel....where the entire environment (3 or 4 rooms) was carved out of ice. Yes, it was 9 degrees in there and just like walking into a freezer. You were loaned blue parkas and given tissues and warned.
Remember it's all life-sized. I liked the house area...

The ice slide really warmed us up.(not) heh, but the kids LOVED it- we must've gone down about 9 times..Here's my sister with lil Tara. Notice my sis can obliterate mere mortals with her lazer-eyes. Don't mess with her kids.;)

Next we went on a stroll round Disney Village...way too much stimulus/crowds/commerce for my sanity...but I did manage to pick up some more house rooves and such at LegoLand for my art...here we are outside with one of the Lego Sculptures:
Then on to the Rainforest Cafe for Dinner...theme resturant...every inch...overwhelming madness. (breathe, Dar, breeeathe). I did like the aquariums...and the company.
Mr.B keeps an eye on me..

Other days included aunts and uncles and cousins galore...Grandma's pasteles, Puerto Rican specialty yumness. A walk outdoors at a nearby park...remembering nature.. deep breath smells of earth and leaves...ugh I misssss that..sorting tiny shells...truly I needed it so, I could've happily stayed there, wanted to disappear for a while and just stare at lichen and sun, reconnect with IT. Like a siren song beckoning me to leave everything sometimes...wander into the woods and not come back- what IS that?
Hope you all had a yummy Xmas/Holiday. I'm trying to get my head back now and remember where/who I am...
