sure, this is thick plywood, backed and primed, on which I measure out and draw pencil lines like lining a sheet of paper. Then I begin hammering 3/4 inch aluminum nails in, with each nail I am sending out a prayer/intention/visualization. It's a ritual for me, like a mantra meditation. On pieces like this, I allow the piece to direct it's own form...it's not pre-designed...and gradually I fill in denser and denser (http://pic5.picturetrail.com/VOL78/135657/1415718/19353125.jpg), using various sized nails in various positions, some in simple rows bent flush, some interlocking, some protruding in spinal-like forms....until I feel it is finished. Then the pieces are spray painted and brush painted with with several coats of white paint...and certain nailheads are illuminated with color and resin as focal points...many end up looking like this and some I keep a bit more spaced out.
