AvaD's Playroom

This is where the elves hang out and do their thing.;)
Listening to Bjork and Amon Tobin,
mapping candylands of cyburbia,
drinking coffee and wine. Who needs a dining room.

I've been playing around online this morning. It began with Bartleby.com's daily email. Today's biography is Pablo Neruda. So I began reading about him. He died on my birthday (but the year before I was born). Then I started reading about other events that have happened on my birthday. One site mentioned that Hurricane Jeanne reportedly killed 1,070 in Haiti due to floods. Of course this lead me to images of the flooding...

Suddenly I just had to chat with you. I know all your "worlds" are happy colors that evoke dreams of candy, but have you ever considered recreating a world that reflects the effects of mother nature, even some of the more negative ones that wipe away all that hard work of humans?

Sorry, my brain has been ticking away like crazy. Hrmm...

this may or may not sound odd but my artistic process has been heavily steeped in ritual (this cyburbia series is a tangential manifestation of the earlier prayer and density weave pieces...skimming on the evolution of connected online spaces and their potential while also pointing at the unreality/maya aspect).
What I mean to say is that I feel what I create either exists or will exist and there is an energy in the making....
and therefore I would consciously avoid 'making' disasters.

Erm, well,... for further understanding of what I mean/feel, maybe you would want to read this dream I had before 9/11/01: entrance (http://opendiary.com/entryview.asp?authorcode=A392439&entry=10055&mode=)

Actually, that does not sound odd at all. It makes perfect sense. :)
